Archive of American Radio, Inc. engages in the collection, preservation, reproduction, preparation, publication, and distribution of Works, including Dramatic Compositions, Sound Recordings, Nondramatic Literary Works, Compilations, Collective Works, and Derivative Works, to advance public access to American radio history.
Our work centers on Dramatic Composition as the core classification of radio programs, consistent with U.S. Copyright Office terminology from the 1930s–1940s and Title 17 of the United States Code.
We may claim copyright in: Compilations, Collective Works, Derivative Works, Transcriptions as Nondramatic Literary Works, Loglines, Treatments, Catalog Records, Study Notes, and Published Volumes.
We do not claim rights in: Public Domain Material, unmodified Sound Recordings, facts, data, titles, or short phrases.
